Yumeiho Massage – What Is It?

Full name: kotsuban yumeiho

This massage system mobilizes the joints and contains both energetic elements. By treating the whole body, it mobilizes the joints, ensuring a symmetrical energy supply to both sides of the body. It harmonizes by stretching the connective tissues. It can be considered a transition between massage and chiropractic. The treatments are not primarily aimed at releasing blocks, manipulation is not performed in all cases, joints are not highlighted, they are stretched. Proper circulation of energy is achieved by properly mobilizing the joints, and joints with limited movement are treated without mobilization, with pressure kneading. It focuses on the dynamic restoration of the rotated sacroiliac joint and ensuring proper energetic circulation.

History of Yumeiho Massage

The history of Yumeiho massage dates back nearly 2000 years. In China, monks living and studying in a monastery in the Shaolin Valley used the method as part of the Chuan Fa (kung-fu) technique to maintain and restore their physical and mental balance. The Japanese master Suichi Ohno was a practitioner of this monastery between the two world wars in the 20th century. He later returned to Japan and began to apply and later teach this technique. His student was master Saionji Masayuki, who further developed this system
